Pilot Upload Guide

The paid launch path accepts Shopify exports. Etsy recognition remains documented and tested in the importer, but paid Etsy audits stay unavailable until native export verification is complete.

Required exports

Provide an order-line export with order ID, created date, SKU, quantity, and gross line sales. Provide a product export with SKU, title, and selling price.

Map currency explicitly when available. Line IDs, status/cancellation, line-level discounts, and order-level discounts improve reliability; repeated order-level values are allocated once across valid lines.

Etsy files

Etsy files are retained here as an unlaunched recognition path. If you are helping verify a native export, use Shop Manager → Settings → Options → Download Data → Orders and keep the original export evidence separate from the paid workflow.

For period charges, use Finances → Monthly statements or Payment account. Deposits and payouts are cash movements, not sales revenue; they are never counted as revenue. Charges without a reliable order ID remain visible but unallocated.

Etsy exports often omit product cost. Add SKU-level costs during mapping or the contribution result stays unavailable for those items.

Optional data
Refunds, actual shipping expense, shipping revenue, payment fees, marketplace fees, collected tax, advertising spend, and current cost per item are optional. Missing costs remain unavailable or explicitly estimated; they are never treated as zero.
Supported native exports and evidence boundary

Shopify orders: in Admin → Orders → Export, choose the order CSV. Native order evidence uses Name, Financial Status, Currency, Shipping, Taxes, Created at, Lineitem quantity, Lineitem name, Lineitem price, Lineitem SKU, Canceled at, Refunded Amount, and Lineitem discount. Shopify leaves many order-level cells blank on later rows of a multi-item order; the importer accepts a repeated value once and treats blanks as missing.

Shopify products: use the product CSV export workflow. Title, URL handle, SKU, Price, and optional Cost per item are recognized. Market-specific prices, older templates, missing SKUs, and custom metafield variants stay ambiguous unless the mapping is explicitly confirmed. Official product CSV documentation

Shopify transactions: transaction history is separate from the order export and uses Order, Name, Kind, Created At, Amount, and Currency. Only unambiguous refund transactions with order identity, currency, sign, and amount affect refunds; refund units and SKU allocation are never invented. Official Shopify export documentation

Etsy (not available for paid launch): Shop Manager → Settings → Options → Download Data → Orders, then choose Order Items, Orders, Etsy Payments sales, or Etsy Payments deposits with month/year. Order-item rows are the sales ledger. Payment account/monthly-statement activity is a separate ledger: deposits and payouts are cash movements, not revenue; fee, marketing, and shipping-label charges without a reliable order ID remain unassigned. Etsy does not publish a complete stable header contract, so files without stable order identity, date, quantity, currency, and amount remain unsupported or ambiguous. Unsupported or ambiguous: non-CSV Shopify formats, third-party/custom reports, mixed currencies, deposits/payouts treated as sales, Etsy statement sale rows that cannot be joined to order items, files with no stable order identity or quantity, and custom or synthetic workbooks. Juneki’s custom synthetic workbook is test data only; it is not evidence of native Etsy compatibility. Juneki does not claim that the original workbook or PDF was inspected.

Exact pilot limits
  • Values-only CSV or XLSX; legacy XLS is not supported.
  • No password-protected, macro-enabled, formula, or external-link files.
  • Up to 20 MiB, 24 sections, 10,000 rows per section, 50,000 total rows.
  • Up to 80 headers and 500 characters per cell.
  • 30-second browser processing budget.
  • USD is the supported boundary; no FX conversion. Mixed currencies are excluded.
Privacy and storage

Parsing happens in the browser. The original workbook bytes are not uploaded or stored. Validation sends mapped derived data only; saving a run stores the derived result and safe source metadata, never raw workbook bytes.

Saved results are private to the signed-in owner, can be deleted from the audit, and are protected on report and CSV export routes.

How the numbers are calculated

Net revenue is gross line sales less line and allocated order-level discounts and refunds. Collected sales tax is shown for reconciliation but excluded from revenue and contribution profit.

Contribution profit is net revenue plus shipping revenue, less current product cost, actual shipping expense, fees, and advertising when those inputs are covered. The label Estimated using current costs marks current-cost assumptions; it is not observed loss.

Observed impact is kept separate from estimated opportunities. Every duplicate, malformed, canceled, conflicting, missing, or mixed-currency row appears with a reason and source section/row reference.
